Winter at Stearns Beach
Ludington, Michigan
It was a cold day at Stearns Beach on the shore of Lake Michigan in Ludington. I saw one of the benches, vacant, at the edge of the beach. I remember last summer when the beach was filled with sunbathers, children running, and swimmers playing in the water. The beach is so different today. The icy wind is cutting. The shore has mounds of packed ice pushed to shore by strong winds and waves. There is no one on the beach today. Just my camera and I are capturing this moment in time.
